Interior & Exterior Painting in Lilburn

Every painting scope lists scraping, patching and priming as their own items next to the paint, so you know how much prep you are paying for, inside or out.

Most of a Paint Job Is Prep

The finish coat is the quick part. Scraping, filling, sanding, caulking and priming decide whether paint still looks good years from now, and they are also where cheap bids cut corners.

Our scope lists the prep by area so you can see it is there. Painting can be its own job or the last stage of a larger remodel.

What the Painting Scope Covers

  • Interior rooms

Walls, ceilings, doors and trim, with nail holes filled, cracks taped, and furniture moved and covered before any paint is opened.

  • Cabinets

Kitchen or bath cabinets cleaned, sanded and primed, with doors and drawer fronts removed and finished separately for a smoother coat.

  • Exterior surfaces

Exterior walls, trim, doors and shutters scraped and spot-primed where bare, then painted with a product suited to each surface.

Before the First Coat

  • Homes built before 1978

Older paint may contain lead, which calls for lead-safe prep methods. We ask about the age of your house so the scope reflects the right approach.

  • Color and sheen

Flat paint hides flaws, while satin and semi-gloss wipe clean more easily. Choosing sheen by room, and testing colors on the wall first, avoids repainting later.

  • Exterior timing

Outside work depends on dry surfaces and moderate weather, so exterior painting is scheduled around the forecast and shifted when rain arrives.

Painting Questions

Do you paint only as part of a remodel?

No. Painting can be its own project, from one room to the whole exterior, or the final stage of a renovation. Either way, the prep and the paint are itemized.

Do I need to move my furniture?

Clear small items, wall hangings and anything fragile. We shift larger furniture to the middle of the room, cover it and the floors, and put things back once the paint is dry.
